Yes. I just quoted Kamina.
But lol. Before I get into the deep motivational shit.
( I made Japanese! :D Let me show you them. )So Monday was an exhibition between the four RISD schools. I thought we'd be running for our money. But really, after looking at Berkner's preformance I think we might kick some ass.
Berkner went to state two years ago. They were the "best" but this year. Right here, right now. From what Monday gave us. They are at the same level as we are. They have an amazing sound, at parts. They have a lot of marchers out on the feild, a lot of those marchers were either out of step or out of phaze in their marching (paha, I would make a good marching judge)
"I know everyone is frustrated with how our cards have been dealt this past week. I know that it is not fair. It's easy to give up right now and say that there is no way we can make it. But that is why only the best make it to the State Marching Competition. And we are the best.
We can rise above this. I know it. The directors are so happy with us and they really do believe we can do this. It is up to us. We can give up now and be like 14 other bands in Area C, or we can turn this around. It all starts with us.
Think about if we actually make it through this, and we do it. We make it. They announce our name at the finals competition. Can you even imagine how amazing it will be if we make it, even though in every way the odds are against us? We will show the judges we deserve it, even though we don't come from a rich, white, suburban high school with a bajillion kids and tons of money for their music programs.
Leadership team- whatever it takes
I urge you to be positive and be optimistic for the next 4 days. If someone around you is being negative, try to cheer them up. We will only truly fail when we have lost all hope that this can happen. If you are really upset about all this, then come talk to me or a director.
Anything worth doing is tough. That's the reason only 3 bands make it. We can do this; don't stop believing for even a moment. We have come way to far and worked wayy to hard for almost 3 months. I'm so proud of the band this year. Don't stop now. Push to the end."
If that's not motivational then I don't know what is. I love all this motivational stuff.
Thanks to the Head Drum Major people would've probably doubted themselves even more.
:) I'm not going to give up. Sick stomach wise, different body parts in so much pain, my asthma. Those will not stop me now bby.
What a perfect song to end this. I'm ready. Are you?
